Keep in mind that "Almagest" is only the title of the tune, and the video doesn't really relate to the treatise.
I just talked to NASA and they are okey with you watching. See to it that you watch this in HD.
Figured it's boring to just listen to the piece w/o anything to watch during, so I did a little video with pictures of celestial objects.
Tune written on piano. Software used: Cubase, Edirol, Anvil MIDI Studio.
Hope you find it suiting to the astronomical visuals.

Software used for the video: Sony Vegas Pro, Stellarium, Photoshop, Fraps.
Had to work my aim a bit to make the different pictures fit together during zoom and rotation, quite frustrating being my first vegas pro session.

NGC objects (new general catalogue) are noted, some are only found to be in IC if even that, noted as well. NGC - IC - Messier
I know, the objects aren't displayed in a logical order, but it's only for visual variation. Some nebulas or other objects are showed twice, this is for different views and mostly different pictures. One pan is from NASAs Hubble 20 year anniversary, the night sky zooms are recorded from a simple session in Stellarium and the rest are high-res pictures from different telescopes (mostly credited). Crops, zooms and pans are made in vegas and photoshop, super high skill involved.

Telescopes used: Hubble, Spitzer, WISE etc.
Yea, they were a bit hard to maneuver while being in space and all, but it turned out pretty good...
