After a gigantic cataclysm pieces of their continent can drift off into the ocean, the three friends to find Manny, Sid and Diego return in another adventure. Your journey begins, separated from their herd, on an ice floe, the ship has to serve as a makeshift replacement. On their odyssey the trio encounter all sorts of new friends, like exotic sea creatures, but also enemies as ruthless pirates. Meanwhile Scrat sees his mother again, after which it places him at verschlägt who has never seen a prehistoric saber-toothed squirrel before.

Nachdem ein Kataklysmus gigantische Stücke ihres Kontinents in den Ozean abdriften lässt, finden sich die drei Freunde Manny, Diego und Sid in einem neuen Abenteuer wieder. Ihre Reise beginnt, getrennt von ihrer Herde, auf einer Eisscholle, die als notdürftiger Schiffsersatz herhalten muss. Auf ihre Odyssee begegnen dem Trio allerlei neue Freunde, wie exotischen Meeresbewohner, aber auch Feinden, wie rücksichtslose Piraten. Scrat sieht währenddessen seine Mutter wieder, woraufhin es ihn an Orte verschlägt, die noch kein prähistorisches Säbelzahneichhörnchen zuvor gesehen hat.

I thought the movie series would be over by the second one, since the ice age was finally over at the end of Ice Age 2. But then they made a third one with dinosaurs, and now a fourth is coming out next year. I think it's safe to say, that I no longer will assume when there will be no more Ice Age movies, until I know for certain. But regardless, I still have yet to watch the 3rd one!
