Hitler and Churchill are two of the people in history whom I respect most. Shocking? I think that enough years have gone by since the war for it to be acceptable for a decent person to say that the glory of the war wasn't just in allied virtue. It was also in Germany. The most terrible times of human history are also the most beautiful, because they are fine examples of passion. When we look back on them without bias, we can see fervor - whether right or wrong - on each side of the sea.

Winston Churchill is my number one hero. I am an American, and between General Patton, General Macarthur and many more officers, Winston Churchill is my number one hero.

During the war 'cometh the hour, cometh the man'.
He was voted the greatest Briton ever.
That's exactly what he was.

But, he would have been a disaster as a peace-time prime minister.
We don't go in for the cult of personality in politics, unlike so many countries.

I totally agree!!

The point I am making is he did nor never had no intention of exterminating any catholics. (Aiding Spain as you put it or sending troops) who have always been a Catholic country plus his strong allegiance with Italy and Croatia  proves the point. There is no evidence of anything other.

With all do respect, if WC was so "great" why did the British people through him out of office right after WWII???
