From "Bell, Book and Candle"
1:44 of atmosphere. There's actually another scene before this that sets up the club as a place where witches hang out, but this scene seems to set the night club mood a bit better while still being pretty "exotic" for 1958.

This is my favorite movie. I can't believe I found it! The first time I saw it on TV many years ago I was home with the flu and switching channels. It made my day! Love it! wish there was a decent remake!

You can find the French lyrics if you search "Le noyé assassiné paroles".

That scene is one of my reasons why I love "Bell, Book and Candle"!

Thanks for posting this classic scene from one of the great films of the era! If anyone has the words to this number, "L'Assassin Ennuyé" by Philippe Clay, or understands French well enough to translate, please provide that info! (-:

There was a restaurant in SF called the Zodiac Club and it was based on this film. Closed many years ago, alas.

In new york there is a place called the zodiac. I heard it yesterday at rehearsals, for Bell Book and candle as a matter of fact.
