Madden 12 tips - Stopping The Run Part 1

The concept with this run defense mini-scheme is simple, create a large gap in the middle of the field and fill all other gaps across the field. This then means that if you opponent runs the ball anywhere but that gap that you created, they will get met by a computer defender. On the other hand, which you want to happen, is for your opponent to come through the gap in the middle that we created so we can get our shot at the RB. When setting up the defense as shown in the video, you will create this gap in the middle of the field. As shown in the video, chances are that your opponent will begin to motion in another blocker to account for you shooting through the A Gap. You must understand that sometimes stopping the run in Madden 12 isn't always reliant on you making the user tackle, but could be a situation where you fill a gap and occupy a blocker only for your CPU players to make the tackle.

This shit wouldn't work just because, u wouldn't have enough time to set that up who would wait for u to set up the defense to stop the play, i would just come to the line and hike the ball while your in the middle of bsing around.

thats terrible defense especially on a running back with speed like mccoy I would break to the outside everytime on that and also the best way to stop the run isnt by blitzing. against strong formation or weak best defense against a fast back would be 3-4 or bear. slower power back would be 43 defense and blitz one safety off the edge control middel line backer or the opposite safety better line backers=better run defense same as de and dt
