What needs to be done, is produce cars that people want to buy. Flat out. Look at the Us Autos in the 1950s and 60s, they were one of a kind, distinct, and cool. There needs to be a rvolutionary change, and if it doesn't happen then they will fall. though I think American Trucks are second to none.

I retired from the plant these people are standing in front of. I love the union but I despise the people running it. This woman, though she is a nice lady, is one of the 'enlightened' at this plant, as is the biker guy. What that means is they both suck up to union brass and they benefit by doing the sort of jobs that give hard working members a bad name. They don't do very much in respect to work. They are correct about what they say about GM though.

How do you know Toyota workers don't hate the company they work for too. If they are happy with the company they are obviously well paid.

why is it none of our business? It's supposed to be a free country and we have a right to know under the freedom of information acts. Besides everyone knows how much the minimum wage is. To your first point i'm sure the workers will decide what they are worth themselves.

GM shouldn't try to break a 30-year old promise before they pack up and move to India. They not only want to screw present-day workers, but retirees too.
