PS: I read The 5th Sacred Thing among many pagan books in 1995-1997. In 1998 I read the bible cover to cover. The issues identified with the "Christian" culture in her book were more like the issues with ANY organized religion (they define us/them and then fight). Some religious social clubs can be fun - but watch out for your soul!
I've also read many books on paganism, but must say the bible offers the spiritual "conclusion". HOWEVER, its misused. EG: Pauls words regarding homos looks to be his own bullshit commonly misconstrued for POWER. Earth path sounds like its worth reading - I may buy one next time at a book store. Meanwhile I've seen search clues that there's a movie of The 5th Sacred Thing??? That's one of my all time favorite books, on-level with the Celestine Prophesy, The Fountainhead(rand), and the bible
I have read many books on paganism/earth based spiritualities...but I find Starhawk's books to be the most honest, genuine, interesting, inspiring, and profound ones out there. I learned so much from "The Spiral Dance" and i was so absorbed in the book that I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to buy this one, too.
this woman is so profound. I deeply admire her. There are not alot of ecofeminists out there or at least i dont know many so this woman really inspires me.
Her respect for, and love for nature makes me feel really happy, since im so used to people disregarding and poisoning the earth without hesitations and with impunity
