nice tutorial its very helpful, but can you do this when you have a VGA monitor (24" full HD LG widescreen) ? i could use hdmi to dvi to vga if its possible, but i wanted to know you can do this?

@JLAQ47 The difference between Analogue (D-sub) and Digital (DVI/HDMI) is not noticeable with short cables (<3M). Technically Digital are better at displaying than Analogue though.
For switching inputs, your monitor /should/ have a function built-in. It differs from monitor to monitor though.

@darthmo72 one dvi and one d'sub. i ll connect my pc to d'sub and ps3 to dvi though i heard d'sub has a "fuzzy" display :\

BUT! I want to use the same speakers for my computer, WITHOUT needing to switch speaker cable all the time...
