Well, this is goofy. But I was excited to finally finish installing the lift for my track car. So here it is.

  • Nice... a shame you cant work on the underside while its on there...

  • @SquirrelFromGradLife That's the cool thing about this particular lift and my particular car. The 911's engine is in tthe back, along with all the exhaust and muffler. So the part connecting with the lift top is just the flat sheet metal belly pan. I can access anything on the car when it's on this lift, including the wheels, brakes, suspension or to drop the engine or transaxle.

  • @JackOlsen .. squirrell PWNED lol.. Jack Very nice setup!!! your car reminds me of the cover to " Secrets of Solo Racing" By henry watts.

  • @MonkiMajyk It's similar to Henry's car -- just without the turbo and with a less-aggressive suspension. But his car is awesome. And he's a great guy. I instructed with him at events, years ago.

  • What lift is that?

  • @moogleii It's a hydraulic lift table made by Vestil Manufacturing in Indiana. It wouldn't work for most cars, but is pretty good for a 911 in a small garage.

  • Pretty cool and fun to watch.

  • @JackOlsen wow you've met him?.. i'm still busting my butt to get that funding for my car... i have an 86 toyota corolla coupe. just focusing on getting the chassis ready first, thinking i want to end up in E-Prod. so I'm saving to get the cage done first, the current suspension is good, and i have a lsd diff i need to finish building. I'm glad i got into the road race side of this sport earlier.. met a bunch of great people out there.

  • Jack, didnt you have a A/C condenser under the belly pan?

  • Very I put one in also, for my 914 works real nice.

  • @JackOlsen ok.. the plate looked like it covered the suspension on both front and rear...cool thing that it doesnt..

that garage must give you a huge smile on your face every time the door opens..

  • @countryroad82 That's 'Have Love Will Travel' by the Sonics.
