  • You play this very nicely. Great tone, great dynamics and groove, almost no wrong notes... very good. The marimba looks a little high to me, but hey, if you can play it like that, why lower it?

  • i wish i could lower it.. i am just really short... 4'11''...hehe... but thank you for your compliments....

  • hei.nice piece.what's the name of it?

    keep working

  • it's called Katamiya by emmanuel sejourne

  • what mallets are u using?

  • Vic Firth, Van sice series

  • It's just that, of all instruments, we're the ones dealing with the most space. The potential for wrong notes is a relative very high... which is also why sight reading is very difficult for us. The complete opposite of a sax player, for example.

  • i love this piece

    ..you played it really nice!

  • Sounding pretty good, only a few notes. I totally envy your office.

  • good

  • Nice. It's slower than other people, but what's the point in playing fast if you're just going to mess up?

I hope I can play as well as you. :P

On a separate note, are those Vic Firth Corpsmaster M183 mallets?

  • yeaaah! good job!!!

my comment has already been covered about marimba height. and i totally agree with sarialdi! keep it up!

  • If this is a week in and two years ago. I'd love to see what you're playing now!

  • yeah I believe the height of the marimba to be causing tension in your shoulders. lower the marimba so that you can relax them. the more relaxed your are, the more your tone opens up. also add more to your phrasing. thats it lol. good job!

  • What's the lowest note in this solo? I only have a four octave for practice?

  • on steveweisse music they're having a contest for however can play this song great... you should do it

  • You should probably lower your marimba. It's was really nice though

  • awesome! the right hand at the beginning is great, heard but not overpowering. roll at 0:58 sounded really good. minor detail but fit really well!!
