@MellowJellow I'd call Futurama pretty mature, it touches a lot of subjects that some other cartoons shy away from, not to mention The Boondocks which actually had good themes mixed with comedy.

@MellowJeIIow sadly u have to realize that the people who make cartoons want to get paid so they will make what ever people watch -_- so the reason y there isn't many if any mature related shows is cuz most of our new generation dosent care about that stuff

@Yamill23 yea boondocks does posses some good themes in it but its like 10% of the episodes it and the other 90% is just comedy. i have yet to see a single US TV show that have significant meaning the just crap out the same Cliche scenario some guy just trying to find a girl and get laid or two opposite people moving in together.

I will say though that the U.S needs to start making more "Adult" cartoons. Not really meaning porn but meaning more Mature related themes that go into these cartoons. ones that really capture peoples minds and makes them feel a connection. Hopefully the Western Cartoon industry really develops into something more complex rather than these Superhero and semi-retarded shows they have nowadays
