Here I take some time to discuss tool option and safety equipment, the Sloyd and Hook knives are available at http://www.pinewoodforge.com/.

!-Always use safety gear, common sense, and be sure your concentrating on what your doing. If you feel unsafe or unsure about doing something, stop, find someone who has done it before to help you or find another way to do it.

  • nice video ....

  • very informative...I always wondered what tools were used to hollow out the dish. I was always forgetting my silverware for lunch at work, so I would bandsaw out a quick spoon. I never could dish it out very cleanly and figured there was some tool/technique. My 'lunch spoons' have become a big hit though and all the cooks I know are demanding more! So destiny has brought me to 'spoon making'...lol
