My Maternal Grandmother's maiden name was "Lucas," and she was born in America, but her Father, Giuseppe Lucchesi, changed the surname in the U.S. from "Lucchesi" to "Lucas." My Great-Grandfather Giuseppe Lucchesi was from Bedizzano, Italy where his Father Antonio owned and operated marble-mountain quarries. I have spoken to Bruno Lucchesi on the phone.
