This is the maiden flight of PositivelyJoe's Freewing SU-34 with 360 degree thrust vectoring. The plane flew fantastic and Joe did a great job on the sticks. It's a very large plane that looks terrific in the sky. The gears are retractable with a servo slow-down reducer. Each thrust vectoring nozzle is full 360 degrees and Joe is able to turn on and off mixing of the TV with elevator. This was an exciting and fun maiden flight - way to go Joe!
Excellent flight. I have this kit and I'm planning to put two 70mm fans in it.

This Freewing Su-34 has to have speed through landing-- you can't back off the throttle, it 'floats' if throttled down to much...

Great vid! We both posted SU-34 Maidens on the same day, just wondering if you've had a problem with the grass landings? My first few were fine, but on last 2 my front gear snapped off on what looked like fairly nice landings...

I see why it doesn't have rudders plumbed in. I have been looking at this jet for some time now.
Minneflyer, are you the same minneflyer on RCU? If so I have spoke with you a few times. I am under the name hunterandjeff in RCU.
When are you going to get the Super Cub done and maidened? Our local hobby shop has one of them for sale in box for $189.00 right now and it would make a great river plane!
