It's not just the fact that this is one of the best value, best built superminis money can, buy... It's what lies underneath that counts too! Based on the same secure, safe chassis that underpins the excellent Volkswagen Polo, the Fabia offers space, pace and practicality in equal measure. A new 1.2-litre TSI engine, which gets both a supercharger and a turbocharger adds a sporty yet economical dimension to the line up -- which includes both hatchback models and a capable estate. We really like the optional seven speed semi-automatic gearbox, which is easy to use and adds to fuel economy. Capable of matching the sleek Ford Fiesta for driver appeal, the Fabia's more conservative looks, and all round versatility also appeals to those for whom the Ford's styling is just a bit too wild.

  • Just avoid the three cylinder engines. They need more petrol than supercar if you want to go more than 30 mph plus they lack power !!! Go for the TSI.

  • Currently £8995 1.4 MPI SE, what a bargain!

  • Can hear the damn supercharger on the inside, I hate superchargers, turbos are way better for both economy and performance, and who still makes SOHC engines in the 21st century a 4 cylinder car should at least have 16 valves. Other than that the car seems fine.

  • @qwertyaltr can't agree more ,, I treat my 2004 fabia sedan even worse than how I treat those how love kia haha, no really I abuse my fabia reving up all day cornering with high speed and late service every time .. and it never broke down since the year of manufacturing.

  • The interiour is much nicer if you get it in black, not in that light gray which the car in the video has. Maybe the ivory coloured interour is also nice, but you only get that with the highest spec model.

  • @u1430 why hasn't my uncles 99 Octavia 1.9 TDI broken down since the year of manufacturing... honestly you are the first person that said that skoda is bad... everyone is praising them for the quality and durability.. saw more fiats in the repair shops than skodas.. fiats are good but just cause your uncle can't drive and doesn't know shit about car maintenance doesn't make the skoda a bad car.. seen a lot of cars including alfas and fiats, BMWs and many others called bad cause of that

  • @robynofrye

The Fabia is a decent car and I enjoyed driving it. My uncle has it and I'd take it for a drive whenever I get the chance.

  • This is base models , no rear center headrest
