Jaya - The Kirtan Band - Day on the Ganges - Varanasi, India

" Day on the Ganges," features photos by Richard Nesdale set to music from the new self titled CD "Jaya - the Kirtan Band," based in Encinitas, CA 92024. The photos were taken in the narrow alleys of the old city and on the banks of the Ganges River in Varanasi, India. Varanasi, (aka: Benares) is considered one of the oldest and most sacred cities in the world.
Members of "Jaya the Kirtan Band" (aka Jaya!) include Eric Klein, Deborah Klein, Lee Bitner, Teeto Cheema, Jann Enfield, Jeff Lieberman, MaryBrenda McQueen, Mark Philip Sansait, Jim Volkert and the photographer Richard Nesdale. Jaya! has a following in the yoga and new thought communities.
