the radio station where I live stopped carrying the Dr Demento show but I see there is enough youtube videos of demented songs that MTV should give Dr Demento a weekly TV show since I have cable

I bought a Panasonic auto reverse boombox so I could use C120 cassettes on the timer to get Dr D every sunday. Those tapes mysterious disappeared, sure wish I still had them. What was Dr Demento's real name? I can't remember, Barry ?

Born in 1966 and I listened every Sunday night from 10 to midnight. Definitely a dementite...lol. This is so great. CBS Radio Mystery Theater all week and Sunday with the Doc. Couldn't wait to hear the top 5 of the week. Wish I could still hear it.
Thanks for this!

I remember the 4 hour show from the Mighty MET! He is a great hero to me. I would love some of that memorabilia! Thanks for sharing!

Dr. Demento and his show is a good example of what's missing in popular culture today....ORIGINALITY.
