  • I'm gonna take a shot in the dark with this question. You seem to have worked on a fair share of GM based trucks. I'm planning on swapping a 98 5.7 into my Jeep Cherokee soon. Do you know if the accessory brackets/ intake sit high like on the 5.3 vortec engines?

  • @1991JeepMan Ooooh. That sounds awesome. If you have good welding/cutting skills and don't mind a hole in the hood that's going to be AWESOME!

  • Hey Brian!

I have to tell you that I was looking for a video like this for about 3 week. Thank you so much for doing all this to help people like me.

Now I have to ask you. I have a Chevy Blazer 2002 and I was driving on a free way while it stop. I try to start it for over 3 hrs and nothing. I heart it could be the fuel pump but it sound perfect each time I try to start it. About 6 months it was showing me a check eng and the code was refering to O2 bank 2 now the light is gone. Any suggest?

  • @juwealce Sounds like a failed fuel pump based on just that info alone.

  • @briansmobile1 They're a bugger! I haven't seen them leak- the lines themselves are quite tough. Naturally you want them to be clear of possible abrasions, but you're probably going to be OK. Also the new updated bracket is about half the size of the new one. This could help. I haven't seen what you're working with, but you might want to check with your local dealership's parts dept and look at the new one. That may be your hang up.

  • @ALLPISSED It ran really rough before, it ran awesome afterwards. Of course I replaced the upper intake manifold gasket at the same time.

  • @briansmobile1 my 1995 blazer 4.3 vortec i have had it since 95 and im just now going to change the spider injectors because its missing to beat hell and running bad i have changed everything besides this but onther then this its been a awesome blazer cant go wrong with it love it take care

........p.s did it run bad befor you changed and how does it run now

    thanks again

  • @briansmobile1 i have changed the map sensor it ran great no check engine light for about a week now back to square one. any help is appreciated.

  • @briansmobile1 -- hi i need advice on my 95 blazer with vortech. if i run 98 octane i seems to run a little better but 87 it runs rough. either octane it takes about 30 seconds or so to start if it sits overnight it turns over right away but other wise i gotta let it spin the starter for a bit to get it running. almost like at times it is not getting fuel. my code reader only tells me random missfire. have you run into this issue and what should i look into first?

  • HI, Brian Great video. I just have a question what was the symptom to make you change the injector?!

  • great video, thanks for all the info

  • your gonna sylicone it in?? what about the brake booster? and all that ? leave it unplugged??
