Tough times are still ahead for people struggling with debts following the recession.
A new report out shows the economy is continuing to grow slowly.
A study by the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) found it expanded by 0.3 percent in the period from December to February.
It is a comparison with official figures from the final quarter of 2009.
Last month figures from the Office of National Statistics were revised up to show the economy expanded by 0.3 percent in the final quarter of 2009.
It has originally reported growth of 0.1 percent.
The slow return to growth could see more people in need of debt management.
NIESR predicts economic output will not return to the peak seen at the start of 2008, until 2012.
