Confident in Futaba's proven 2.4GHz signal security even in crowded environments, FASST eagerly prepares for the Joe Nall fly-in — while Speck dreads losing more friends after his "mysterious accidents" at other recent events.
Such "accidents" have some event organizers considering whether to bring back the frequency pin as a way to control how many pilots have radios on at one time. Joe Nall organizers are addressing these concerns by posting this statement on their Web page: "With all the flight stations we are running this year, please only turn on your transmitters at a flight station. Thanks!"
Good advice for nervous Speck and his friends. Of course, pilots using FASST equipment need not worry — Continuous Channel Shifting and other FASST advantages provide unmatched protection against signal interference and interruptions.
Still, Futaba asks that FASST users be sensitive to other pilots who don't have the advantage of Continuous Channel Shifting technology. Let's all set a good example by keeping those transmitters off when not flying, and bringing your DSC cord with you to Triple Tree.
