  • These people are toooo beautiful for lip plates. Can someone please explain to me why my ppl do this? I am NOT trying to be facetious. It looks uncomfortable.

  • In each Culture, society and tradition there are things that makes us uncomfortable, but for those who have them is like an Identity, so keeping them and respecting them as they are is the best thing to do.

  • @083770 someone from the mursi tribe actually said that it started during the slave trade. They encouraged their people to use lip plates so the slave trader wouldn't catch them...im not sure how true this is but it seems plausible i mean why else would they be the only ones in that region that do it.
