  • I have always had trouble with this shot on the pool table at my college. This video was very helpful and hopefully I'll be able to pull it off next time it comes up in a game :)

  • @jimbobur Great!!!! I hope you drain the shot, break the back of your opponent and hopefully find some joy in the great game of pool.

    Cheers,

    Marcus

  • hey marcus... i understand your comment, 'Most cue ball control options are sacrificed for the sake of making the shot.' however, do you condone 'always' using running english to ensure or make a frozen rail shot?

ive struggled with the frozen rail shot for a while and will admit i make more shots with your method of 'spinning' the cue ball into the object ball than the most advertised technique of 'ball and rail simultaneously.'

    your thoughts?

luv your vids---pls keep 'em coming!

  • @euclidstreetrentals It depends. If you want to ensure that you make it you should go rail first. If you need position go the other way but with a greater risk of missing.

  • i won a tiebreaker in a tournament with this shot :3! thanks!!

  • @bobalitos Awesome!!! Glad to hear it!!!!

  • Maybe you should start shooting pool and in a few years from now you might be able to understand what he is trying to demonstrate. Forcefollow's videos are for the most part very correct in what he is trying to teach/demonstrate. People/players wanting to learn to play pool well would be well advised to use forcefollow's videos as a solid learning tool along with many of the other resources available out there to learn how to play better pool.

  • i like the videos, but you should make more demonstrations

  • Funny thing is I stumbled upon "english" and other stroke techniques just by playing pool a lot as a kid, but your videos are helping me learn more ways of how to apply them. I never thought to try this for balls hugging the wall. Thanks.

  • Some one showed me this shot years ago and still enjoy shooting it. You gave a nice demonstration of the function.

  • great information..just what i was lookin for

  • I guess this is the best technique for pocketing a rail ball, however your leave is predestined with all the spin

  • Nice video very informative

  • I have always tried to hit before the object ball just as you have mentioned, but I didnt think of adding any english to it or at least not so much. Maybe thats why a lot of my rail shots run short of the pocket (or leave my opponent with a hanger)and the cue ball just comes back down. I have a game with a friend tonight, Lets try it then :)

btw thnx for the tip on the "chalk off" in your other video. Waiting for my order.

  • thanks for the really really useful tips!

  • @Assassin4628 you are lucky to have a whole family who supports you in playing pool .You can became pro in these conditions. But there are a lot of people who love this sport exactly like you do but when it comes to the family support it's a big :|unfortunately i am in this situation too.I play since i was 12 now i am 14 and at all contests that i played i was said i have big chances of becoming a strong player.Good luck and make your grandpa proud i hope we'll meet at an international contest.
