Are You Living Two Different Lives?

Pastor Miles McPherson tells the church a story about 3 Men who were always there for each other. These 3 men Shadrak Mishak and Abendigo, they prayed to God that they wouldn't get tossed in the fire by these men just for not bowing down to another man. God was bored of hearing everyone else's prayers such as "God please bless my food" "God please bless my sleep" and then these three men pray to him as they are about to be thrown into the fire for not bowing down to another person.

He gets in to asking people about them living two different life styles. People being "religious" and have the "party" life style.

I agree 100%. In the times of the original church they didnt even have "Romans" to get all theological on. They didnt have concordances and supersonic search engines to do in depth Bible studies with. What they had was a genuine love for Christ and a desire to display that love to everyone. People need to see more love in action rather than hear more theology lessons.

MH1662,I agree with your assessment on Mile's preaching, but it was thru God using his simple message that I got saved 17 years ago. I spent my early Christian years listening to people just talk TULIP who were so condescending on others if you didn't hold their position, which in my opinion isn't how God gets His proper recognition. We don't honor God because we are a Calv or Arm. As Ambassador's we should use the Scriptures (not just Romans)and appeal to the reprobate to be reconciled to God!
