  • Can someone tell me what the actual name is of this particular piece of choreography this is in the vid? Writing an assignment and need to refer to it!

  • @livelovelaughdance91 I agree, @ebonz2 serious needs to watch Christopher Bruce's Swansong, for example.

  • @FeeldahVibe001

    um.

its not the 'odd future of dance', as you so well put it.

its the past. because, as you said she's dead. however, her style lives on, though it'll never be like before.

  • @ebonz2

Honey, no one said Martha Graham did romantic ballet. Hate to break it to you, but thats not all there is to dance. maybe, if you werent so close minded, you could find that in other peoples work, people that revolutionized dance, people that were tired of the straight perfect rigidity of ballet, that were tired of pretending every thing is perfect and pretty in soft shades of pink and white, also did extraordinary things, actually expressed opinions, and changed the world.

  • @Rascaduanok I understand anti-art all to well. A is A. And yes the studied mindlessness of Ms. Graham is more than damaged, misconstructed, and irrelevant. You would do yourself a great favor by studying both the Ballet Master Fokine and the esthetical writings of Dr. Ayn Rand before you reply to me. A Romanticist, ebonz2!

  • @ebonz2 “When confronted with something you do not understand, do not dismiss it as irrelevant, misconstructed, or damaged.”

  • @ebonz2 my good you really don't get it at all. but you know, everybody can like what he/she wants. just please don't talk shit about things you don't really know anything about. martha graham was an incredible woman, with visionary ideas and concepts. it might look a little strange to the eye of people nowadays who are not so much into dance, but she really was one of THE most important "founders" of modern dance, and helped to shape what it is today and what it will be in the future!

  • This is NOT Romantic ballet. It deserves our laughter and no more. Incredible that this was ever taken seriously by anyone. By contrast, I offer to any student and admirer of ballet the great choreography of Michel Fokine. It can be seen in several pieces here on youtube. Look for the music to be by Chopin, Tchaivkovsky, Still and other Romanticists. --EABII.

  • @nicke1l wise explanation. we can try to teach them trolls one by one.

  • @popsita i agree with you, it did use to be a better place, they computers became cheap, and now we have a bunch of kids trolling on youtube trying desperately to get attention. but what can we do?
