Benchmade Under Investigation by US Immigration for Hiring Illegal Immigrants - BOYCOTT BENCHMADE

ICE the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement is investigating Benchmade Knife Company for its use of illegal Mexican Immigrants that are employed at the Benchmade Factory in Oregon.

US Immigration is investigating the assembly persons that are 80% female and of Mexican origin for illegal work visa violations. Benchmade is under investigation for using illegal immigrants that do not possess Green Cards and are illegally in the US.

This is an ongoing problem with US manufacturing jobs that are still in the US and is an absolute disregard for US Labor Laws and a slap in the face to the American public.

Consumers who purchase Benchmade products are under the impression that products are made in the USA, which for some of their product line is the case but who is assembling these products will shock everyone and the US Immigration is investigating this issue.

I'm new to knives and was looking at Benchmade for a high-end folder. I saw some today and honestly didn't see the quality over Gerber and Kershaw made in China. I guess even "Made in USA" now means made in a 3rd world sweat shop. What's an alternative to Benchmade though for high-end folding knives?

@RWT683 That is pretty much the truth and it is sad and why I am so against Bitchmade and what they do plus the bullshit they did to me and many others. What style of knife are you looking for? Kershaw, Gerber, and SOG make some models here in the US and they are good. It really depends on the style of knife so we can narrow it down for you.

@Roadsideimports Well I want something about 3 to 3.5 inches and doesn't look too "tactical" because I might be carrying it in an office environment. Assisted opening is ok. I was interested in the "Bitchmade" (heh) 470. I still haven't seen one in a local store but for $170 the quality better be there and the ones I did see didn't seem worth it. I have Kershaw with 2.25 inch blade I just wanted something slightly longer. I may get another Kershaw because they seem to have good quality for price

@bobsuruncle789 Go on a tour of the plant and see how many you can spot. A friend of mine went to the plant & told me he saw alot of people who couldn't speak English. Now to be fair that doesn't mean they are illegals, I mean everyone who has green cards and that are born here don't speak English. But since his visit it was reported to ICE to investigate the plant and since they do not disclose this sort of info on the finding who knows what occurred but they did get investigated
