One could not hope for a better F# mago than this... it is the ultimate mago with everything one would want in a high performance instrument.

It has excellent back pressure, high but not squealingly compressed and whiny. It is LOUD! Energy transmission is superb, making this a very easy instrument to play that responds to the slightest breath... and if you push it a little harder, it sings with tremendous POWER and resolve.

Acoustics are nicely balance with wonderful bass response... full of dark murky sub-notes.

Hummed vocal notes come through strongly, and the instrument responds beautifully to Gunborrk technique as Darryl Digarrnga ably demonstrates.

Amazingly, the bell end is entirely eaten out by termites, save the last 4 to 6 cm at the end which has been scrapped clean. The resulting bore is beautifully conical in shape giving powerful and loud acoustics.

Decorated with Manngaliny (Bush Yam) design painted in ochre.

A super instrument with a sexy flared shape and simple but charming ochre artwork.
