This driving instructor, working for Red Driving School, chose to allow his student to overtake Clare exactly as an oncoming car was in the way. As a result, his car passed far too close, frightening her. She, very understandably, (and with considerable restraint) calls out "aaaaarrghh... crumbs!".
The instructor then stops the car in the road and gets out. But he won't accept that there was anything wrong with the driving. Nor does he offer an apology; instead he patronises her.

You may get a good driving instructor with Red, you may get a bad one. It's just a franchise

That wasn't a red driving school instructor in charge, no way!!!
That was a half trained monkey with a bad attitude. Honestly, they'll let anymonkey supervise a learner driver nowadays.

Not the behaviour that anyone wants to see from an instructor, very poor instruction, and then shows the trainee how to lie about a driving error, disgraceful!
