Florida Fidelity Rain Tree

A protected tree on the New River in Fort Lauderdale is in danger of being removed to make way for an unnecessary condominium. The Fort Lauderdale city commission is breaking a resolution they made in 1987 to protect this tree.

CapnLoogie, you've got international attention now. Keep your integrity, and demand your job back. Also, update us on the story of the tree here. Thanks to your work, the tree would be moved carefully and innovatively even if you don't stop it from being moved. Give the developer a chance to recover his reputation by demanding your job back. You don't have to like him, but give him options. Both you and he are gaining notoriety over this, and both of you have a future after this. Bless you.
