FOR PLAYERS, BY PLAYERS. We are the Players Tournament.
Thanks to the creative hard working 3rd party contributors within the ARMA community and our own MOD Development Team, we are presenting a way to play ArmA with its realisim intact but with additional features that makes gameplay unlike any other tournament out there....
Theatre of War has a mature and knowledgeable global membership delivering the ultimate feature rich Armed Assault tournament, run by players for players.
We have a dedicated UN team who ensure the smooth running of the battle day. Along with a balance team to oversee new features and ensure the game remains fair yet challenging. Working in partnership with these teams is a player's council helping to develop and evolve the tournament in accordance with the player's wishes.

Er, everyone knows ATOW didnt copy CF. Atm ATOW seems to have better gameplay due to its Obj system, but you never know

Hhhmm.. Thats funny because Theatre of war has been around a full year longer than CFT. This would be because one of the founding guys at CFT, came from AToW.

How many regular players do you have for each scenario?

We don't play a scenario. Its a 14 week full war. Results carry over to the next battle. Armies usually field between 20 to 30 players each. Right now we are in the transition to ArmA 2! Going to be REAL fun. :D

I played OFP way back in the day and made a lot of missions for it. Always had the idea of making large-scale combat missions, back then the hardware couldn't support it and OFP was buggy as hell initially. Had no idea that something like TOW existed. Picking up ArmA2 to try this out and I'm probably going to refresh my mission making skills.

ArmA2 is released, i think, today! You should stop by AToW, get signed up and start exploring the forums and meeting the guys. Its a great community. Then you'll be up to speed for our Campaign 4 with ArmA2.
