@CrazyGav001 Yeah, Basic is 'easy' :D (sarcasm)

This is essentially a video of me going to work.

Have you tried running this in different modes? Mode 0 is fun....

Yeah, it's pointless, but like the vid description says, I was bored and had a go at disassembling the game, e.g. turning machine code into commented assembler. The point of the hack is the intellectual exercise required to achieve it.
Cheating at anything makes it pointless, e.g. steroid taking athletes, degree students plagiarizing et.c.

Yeah, yeah, I know - not a lot of point if you're invulnerable. Maybe I'll spend a bit 'o' time practising, it's all about remembering the maze. Shame that it just repeats ad. infinitum - that doesn't help with my motivation ;)

why dont u try and complete it without the cheats, im 31 and was playing this when i was 5 years old and i didnt even need to cheat at that age, and as for the intellectual exercise... basic code is as easy as taking a shit but well done all the same

Um, BASIC code ?
This is written in hand crafted 6502 assembler.
Agreed BASIC is easy, but writing tight, fast, efficient code whilst being easy to read and maintain is much, much more difficult - that separates the n00bs from the pros - whatever the language or architecture.

Its one of the games that uses hardware scrolling to good effect. Speedwise it was the Sonic the Hedgehog of its day ;)
