Freddie Hubbard - "The Melting Pot"
Ripped from the rare 1987 LP, Life Flight
A little less "commercial" than other tracks on this album, "The Melting Pot" has the heavy hitting, hard driving lines reminiscent of the Blue Note Records days of the 1960s.
Personnel:
Freddie Hubbard - trumpet, flugelhorn
Larry Willis - piano, electric piano, synthesizer
Stanley Turrentine - tenor sax
George Benson - guitar
Wayne Braithwaite - electric bass
Idris Muhammad - drums, tambourine
Ralph Moore - tenor sax
Rufus Reid - bass
Carl Allen - drums
