Forever young: Secret of eternal life revealed by Russian science?

A Russian scientist claims to have created his own version of the fountain of youth. He says, when perfected, all you'll have to do is pop a pill to defy the aging process. The medicine is currently undergoing tests, but could be on sale within a few years. RT's Natalia Novikova has been finding out more.

Defeating aging would be an amazing feat, however

It's important to realize that immortality and defeating aging are two different things.

To defeat aging would be to not die from aging, to not suffer the symptoms of growing old, to be as lively perhaps as someone in their 20s or 30s. However you would still be able to die from infectious diseases, homicide, traffic accidents and such.
