  • oh man only u had a better engine but its pretty fast though

  • I've had my 91 protege for a while many mods but I topped mine out around 134 135 ish but mines a stick so the accelerations quicker thn an auto

  • the protege was catching up to the beamer lol

  • BMW we the best lol sick I have a same car just like that one it's fast bro nice video ..

  • DOHC manual BMW? Too bad the Pro wasn't the DOHC BP and manual because it would have taken the 318 out for sure...

  • @THEpoopLoop15 stick shift, manual, standard shift all mean the same thing (look it up). but yeah the auto version of the Protege had very shitty acceleration (the trans was crap as well). I own a 92 Mazda Protege DX (SOHC 5 speed) i should know.

  • @madmax2069 ok stick shift or manual not standard shift. and it had lack luster acceleration?

  • @THEpoopLoop15 i said two things

    1. the computer in the Protege will keep you from going over 110mph (when you reach 110mph the computer shuts down the motor). the protege is capable of 140 if you swap the ECU.

    2. everyone knows that a Automatic transmission does not give you the acceleration that a standard shift does. A Protege with a auto trans takes a while longer to get to 60mph then it does a standard shift, you have more acceleration with a standard shift then you do with a auto trans.

  • @madmax2069 what are you trying to say? this doesnt even make sense

  • @gotgearz350 because the computer in the protege stops you at 110, they are capable of 140 though if it wasnt for the darn computer.
