@mattsmom2u2 According to the Greek orthodox church, animals have no souls. She is probably like the huge majority of greeks and considers cats and dogs as vermin! You wouldnt want someone like that in your home..

ZA56AA - You must not get upset about this, as YOU and WE all know the truth. I am sure deep down these greeks who pretend to be "in denial" do know what is happening, I just wish they would help by making a stand against the govt. Yes we know of the crushed glass hidden in food it is terrible and there is no antidote which can sometimes help a poisoned dog.The pharmacies carry these antidote syringes in their stores as well as the poison!!!!!!

I am going say something. I am Greek and yes that's a very big shame-one of many of the country.

The Greeks will never change politics towards almost anything unless Greece is being hit at three main factors:

1) Tourism

2) European Funding which supports the Budget at the greatest extent.

3) Agricultural products.

If i was a foreigner i would embargo those three heavily. And Greece would even apologize for this afterwards.

I remember one Greek chap who said to me once when we saw a dog who was suffering -probably by too many fleas:"let's put an end to his suffer, let's do to him euthanasia, let's.....give him some broken glass to eat"!!!!!!!#####

I mean ignorance is a bliss but this goes beyond any acceptable level.

I am wondering what they would feel if someone give to them some broken glass to eat.

@ZA56AA thats only the warm up of our planets surfaces...something from space heat up ground,invisible but true.Fish osnt like the warm up water temp,but i think its magnetic field fails for birds...maybe earth warm up by inside too...micro-wave effect like...for it isnt pollution

Of course i didn't let him because that would alter dog's suffer to unbelievable levels. I couldn't take him to the med as well, i was in a watching military post in the Army somewhere in the Island of Rhodes up to the hills and i had to spend the whole night there and not to abandon the place otherwise i would face martial court and reports. But fortunately for the dog, he died the same night and we buried him next day so to avoid bacteria spreading and otehr things.

Yes i know what you mean.

The thing is that in pharmacy stores and at the stores who sell garden and tools for the farmers, they also sell poison for the elimination of rats and mouses.

Now this poison is being used by those criminals to poison the dogs and strays. I mean -to my knowledge-there isn't any specific poison in Greece which is made for strays of course. So they use poison for rats and mouses. And broken glass.
