    I saw Steve in a small club in Myrtle Beach S.C. many yrs ago . Didnt even know he was in HP or the Small Faces then , but by the time the show was over I knew he was someone special.  I smoked a joint woth Steve and a big guy named Jim who was also in the band , and both were stand up guys . Steve let me noodle around on his Gibson 335 between sets .Whe he told me he was in HP and mentioned some of the songs he'd written I was surprised , but not too much because it was obvious he was gifted
