This classic Jazz Fusion track was taken from the Gentle Fire LP recorded in 1983. I first heard this track on the Robbie Vincent BBC Radio 1 show back in the day, Enjoy!!!
I have been trying to find this album on CD or as a MP3. It is not on Itunes. Can you believe that? I had the cassette years ago. I don't know what happened to it. Thanks for posting this. I love this song.
I have always loved Wilton's attack and tone. While some were creating 'easy listening' or 'smooth' jazz Wilton, George Benson etc. were playing serious jazz that was more accessible to the main stream.
Yes a Robbie Vincent classic "music for a candlelit dinner" track. Great memories. If it ain't jazz....it ain't worth a funk. Thanks for the quality upload.
When music was music. Like everything else these days, music has been dumbed down to sound like the same monotonous and skillless noise - that's what it is. Emack1965 - I salute you, and all the other posts who appreciate such tasteful tunes.
wilton felder... met him in Montreux, Switzerland 1977 I think. A true gentleman... felder, joe sample, stix hooper, wayne henderson, larry carlton, arthur adams... the crusaders ladies and gents...
For some reason, I find wilton felder's solo albums even better thant when he is with the crusaders. And only God knows I'm Crusaders crazy...
