@flobot5 sitting here, thinking about this some more, i also find it interesting that you threw in this reference to Josephine Baker @ the end of this piece, who was rumored to have had many lovers over her lifetime - male & female - as well as having had her own struggles with her art. a product of her time, she must of had her moments where she struggled w/ love/hate feelings as well. for me this begs the question: was this an intentional reference or poetic license?

@flobot5 thats for you to decide. a lot of musicians - or all artists for that matter - have an "it's complicated" relationship w/ their craft. in many cases it's the lifeblood that feeds them & propels them day by day, but it can also be their worst enemy, driving them to the point of madness. kind of like love.
