When you think that Mickey played almost his entire career with only one good leg due to an injury sustained trying to cover for Joe D (at the twilight of Joe's career), yet the Mick still achieved such performances, it's truly amazing. I'm old enough and sentimental enough to be truly moved when I see nostalgic footage of the Mick. If only I could go back to those days, for just one summer afternoon in New York, and watch the Mick with my father. Thank you Mick.

I don't think anyone can truly say who the greatest is but you can make a strong argument for him.

Mantle was better than Lou and Babe, he clearly played in more competitve times. All 3 of them had outstanding power but mantle could run like the wind 3.5 seconds to first , it has been said that he could do it in 3.1 but I'm sorry no one can swing a bat right themself and run to first base that fast., I did time Gehrig from an old film footage at 3.7 that is flying for a natral firstbaseman.

They were both great no one can objectively say one was better than the other.
