An immigrant is not employed until her diploma has been certified.
Women still don't always have equal access to the labour market. Immigrant women have an even tougher stand and suffer double discrimination: as women and as immigrants. When applying for jobs immigrant women experience a lot of prejudice assuming that they are less educated or that their diplomas are worth less. But in fact evidence has shown that immigrant women in Switzerland are on the average even more educated that the average Swiss woman.
