@5trik9 could your fatigue be thyroid related and not because of a drug you took 7 years ago? deserves introspection.

Ps. I used to take Prozac and it probably worked better than anything else for me but stopped working after 4 years. Now I'm trying zoloft but haven't noticed much.

Other thing is no drs told me about birth defects and I recently had to go off birth control. I know it's my responsibility to be informed but those jerks really need to do more on their end too. I lost my insurance, it's such a messed up health care system.

I totally agree with what u said about the class action law suit. I don't feel I was informed and it did debilitate me to the point of not working. My dr got me up on a pretty high dose. They must be immediate release because they are solid white round pills. I' was taking 3 a day and now trying to ween from a half pill a day to a quarter pill. I get nauseous, and dizzy, feel tired and hopeless at times. I can't wait to be done with it. I have only experienced probably 20 saps and I have bee

Prozac! I ended up in the hospital after the doctor put me on that stuff. After that episode he tried me on several useless drugs until settling with Effexor. Circa 1997 to present. Ending - Friday. That will be my last Effexor capsule. Then it's just my Lithium until my appointment with him two weeks later unless he responds to my phone call two hours ago.

You`re off the effexor but on the prozac so whats your win on this?

Thanks for making these videos! I'm starting to get off Effexor (slowly) and appreciate your knowledge and encouragement.

lol...i open up the caps to sort out the dose. someof the 150mg are full of grains, then another type contain 3 ball shaped things each 50mg i spose. I still need my effexor they work way better than fluoxetine for me and will still be on them for the forseeable future....i wouldnt go as far as comparing it to heroin!
I forgot to mention that one long term side effect of taking Effexor XR, is that you might develop a condition called Tardive Dyskinesia. This is an involuntary movement of the face, tongue, and other parts of the body. I believe that I have this condition in my legs. When sitting, I sometimes rock back and forth without realizing it, or life my heels up off the floor over and over again. I can make it stop if someone points it out to me. Otherwise I am oblivious to it.
