An attempt to create a synthesis engine based on an analogue model of granular synthesis.

In this case each "grain" (there are 3 per cycle) is a "bridged T-network filter" as described on Page 5 of the Roland TR-808 Service Manual.

A 1V/Octave VCO drives a cct. which produces 3 pulses which can be voltage controlled for length, spacing & amplitude. The scope is showing two of these pulses & at various points I am moving from low frequency yo audio rate modulation of the grain density. There is also some modulation of the Q of one grain to create the vowel like sweeps.

The audio output is taken directally, with no external VCA.

I had to record this bit because the sound was making me laugh as I played it, it also has good examples of the range of sounds, tho my crappy cam can't really pick them up. This is a very dynamic instrument & its only half done!!
