WOW Getting a lot of hits ** I am truely amazed, correction parts 2 3 & 4 coming up.... OMG.
with stuff you "grew up with" no kidding, no lying remember the 70's.
I know I am taking Everybody for a loop, but this video had to go out for my brothers and sisters that I grew up with. We moved into Grant Projects in 1959. This is my old stomping grounds when i grew up in Grant Projects, 125th Street & broadway, We Use to live in 75 La Salle Street, 13th floor (yes 13th floor in the projects back then) my moms name was Tina (she worked in Twin donuts in the 70/80's) corner 125th & Broadway for many years, Use to be a bakery there & remember First National City Bank on OLD Broadway & 125street, Have sisters name Daisy & Kathy & brother name Gus, I was knowned on the street as "Cocoa125", I know that is taking you back, I use to work in Finast Supermarket/F W Woolworths/Miles shoes/Pizza Shop & also in Twin donut. Am I taking you back, we are talking early late 70's early 80's when i was in my teens. I also work now remember this Under the train station there was a news stand and a blind man use to man it, He let me work with him for a couple of times. Anyway This is where I was raised most of my life. My momma is still there Again pictures are mostly from where I grew up, I hope all like the video.

  • @discolarry124 hey Larry, sure I know WRVR....I use to go up there and get a few records. Jazz back in the days.....I'm 52 and I'm the youngest from my sisters and brother, but we all went to Stone Gym and yes I do remember having to work lockers and snack bar in Stone Gym.....Keep in tough and keep up the great work brother

  • @discolarry124 oh I forgot Mrs. Howard, a fine momma, I was never in her class but wish i was, (probably would not get anything done) cause i would daydream about her. (lol) Infact I saw her in the early 90's she still looked good had to been in her 50's go ahead baby like wine she aged just fine. & forgot Ms. Clare we all knew she had the loudest mouth on the 4th floor room 601. u can hear her downstairs on the 1st floor. she was LOUD, kidd u not and u remember too.

  • @wilyarite520 yup 1315 Amsterdamn, next to 1295 (only 1295 had 12 floors) never did understand that, but right across from p.s. 36 I remember Ms. Steele, and P.S. 125, Now taking u back I remember Ms. Clare, Ms. Hobbs, Mr. Creco, Ms East (what a fine momma, lord have mercy I was in the 5th grade had crush on her), Mr. Sanford (principal), Mr. bamberger (gym teacher). Ms. clare I still kept contact until early 90's and lost contact with her. but P.S. 125 had cooool teachers.

  • @tammy125th simple? nope them days are gone, promoting violence, calling women the "b" word, we never use/did that in the 70's. Ok it was tough, but simple days are long gone, so sad, so very very sad. but hey thank god some of us made it. but can't forget who still there.

  • @bubblezbx You are Very welcome, yes they are wonderful memories, many enjoy what they saw, so i am coming out with more stuf, and it will take u back.

  • @satinmermaid1 I am good "whoever u are" so many years, so many memories, so many people have say "what's going on" a whole lot. how 30+++yrs seem to past by so fast, thank god for the internet, it does keep up intouch with our youth to know times were tought, but hey some of did make it.

  • @trickster729 hey maybe so, but I tell u this, I use to be one the guys who had to collect the basketball at Stone Gym (u know at Riverside Church) I had to collect all of them at the end of the evening about 8pm if I remember correctly, been a long time, so the memory might be off a bit. Did u remember that Station WRVR in Riverside church? I use to know the engineer (don't remember her name) she was so nice to me. let me come in and see how to use editing equipment. nice lady
