  • It's not supposed to be smooth and symmetrical. Don't confuse traditional Japanese aesthetics on this teabowl. The bowl has life!

  • He's not throwing a pot, he's trimming a pot. You want your clay to be leather hard while trimming not wet.

  • I think this guy has severe learning difficulties, it would certainly explain a lot.

    Beautiful my ass!

  • This bowl has life! Let me kill this bowl please. I would pay to smash this piece of crap!

  • possibly the worst I have seen! A man with no idea what Japanese pottery is about.

  • Um. This was awful. lol cats.

  • Anagama doesn't take ugly pots and make them beautiful.

  • I agree with frogboi666. Good potters spend years throwing symmetrical pots, so they later can alter their style and add " life" to pots. A functional tea bowl can not weigh 4 pounds when finished and have a wall an inch think or no one would be able to lift it/drink from it, especially when later filled with liquid. I think someone one needs a few years of practice !!!

  • "how to make Japanese tea bowl while high on crack"

  • Just WILD!!! What a beauty!

  • @frogboi666 im glad im wasent he only one who saw that. .

  • look at the thickness of the lip on that bowl,it would be like drinking from a cement garden pot and there is a big difference between loosely thrown pot and poorly thrown pot!
