  • Western ! <3 western = pferd, pferd sein lassen! <3

  • Western <3 Barrels <3 But, I would ride english for fun! (:

  • western <3 poles & barrels <333

  • english <3 i jump so thats just my opinion

  • I must say both bring grace, and power. :) They do it because they want to, not because they are forced to.The horse I ride can be lazy, but he can also be amazing! So it's the horse's choice wether it wants to do it or not.So both sports are equal.Which means that both sports are winners in riding.See we all win ribbons, and trophys in all sports. :)

  • No offense to other riders because I have rode English, and Western, but I prefer English just because that is my opinion doesn't mean it is yours. So I bring no offense to Western riders.I will say both bring AMAZING rides though! The western saddle is perfectly fit, even if it is heavier because of its more leather. And English is also perfectly fit! All of my friends ride English, but that isn't why I chose English.I just prefer Show Jumping, and Dressage over Barrel Racing, and Pole Bending.:)

  • @mooneypadfootprongs I didn't mean that last one to be rude

  • @mooneypadfootprongs i personally adore my reining saddle but I can see where comfort would be forfeit with some people.

  • @Samhwain Well I did barrel racing and pole bending for the majority of the time that I rode Western and the one time I tried reining I couldnt stand it because of the saddle! I could not even imagine barrel racing in a reining saddle. Yea you could do it, but it wouldnt be comfy!

  • @mooneypadfootprongs I have been riding for 15 years. I think I know what I'm talking about with western saddles. I never implied you didn't know what you were talking about. I never said anything I don't know. I said what I knew, from my experiences. Barrel racing in a roping saddle is ridiculous. I never said roping. I said reining. Big difference. Two different saddles. Reining is quite a bit similar to barrel saddles.
