I don't think people appreciated the fact the Jack never took anything away from Shirley. He didn't touch her career. Marty Ingels in pulls Shirley down and a lot of people don't want to work with Shirley because of him.
I suspect Shirley has a lof money problems becuase of Marty.

@Showinbulge If Jack Cassidy was gay he gave the likes of Rock Hudson, Walter Pidgeon, Janet Gaynor, and Rosalind Russell one hell of a run for their money as far as "window dressing" is concerned.
