This isn't as good as Anza's. Marina butchered this song.

  • Cant fault Marina though, she sang live her songs as opposed to other stages.

  • @Kimiski Anza sang it live in the stars k musical, the extended version while dancing, and she still sounded better

  • Marina's a good singer, but her voice isn't able to project as much as Anza's was. Consequently, she can't sing this and dance at the same time, because just singing this song takes incredible amounts of energy. Like others have said, she's much better in the songs that were created for her musicals.

  • ANZA could dance and sing this song and it sounded good.

  • I think that Marina is a better dancer, but Anza was definately a better sing and actress.

  • I wish people wouldn't bash Marina so good. She sang fine, but her voice doesn't project as well, that's all. Plus, her English is much better than Anza's - it's clear, and properly pronounced. =3 If she's not wearing the costume, then shoot, but remember - she only does what she's told to by the director. It wasn't like she chose not to have a snazzy costume. ^^;

  • Actialy if you look carefuly you will notice that in firsts seramyus the one who have more words in song and more pawes in it - has less moves in dance. for easy notice look the chasing with 1'st stage fighter were singing most of it. and oters were more dancing. The same gose for all songs in that period.

    This variation not careful since Marina jump to lot - and not in right time - she jump when she need more force on voice. And that not her foult but thous who were teaching her. :)

  • she haves great pronunciation, but i dont like her voice... I like anza's better...

  • Well, everyone has a right to their own opinion. But I think it's not that bad. When I heard Anza's version of this song for the first time, I liked it very much. But I thought that the singer is a GUY! (I just didn't know where the song was taken from).

    As for Marina, it is impossible to mistake her for a guy. She has a gentle and feminine voice. It may not sound as energetic as Anza's but it's good after all. I like both versions no matter what.

  • Knockin Down Hesitation was created for Anza at the time, so don't go bashin Marina if she can't sing it as good as the first Sailor Moon :P Same as how Link was made for Fumina, who couldn't dance much less sing AND dance at the same time, and everyone sings a song differently. Miyuki never sang Link I don't think, but with her voice she probably couldn't sing it as well as Fumina, who actually did have a pretty voice, girl just couldn't dance :P

  • she has the voice for english disney songs

  • Don't think she butchered it, but the song doesn't suit her.

    I've always thought this song was more an Anza song than a Sera Myu song. It was made for Anza's style.

    Just like I think Anza wouldn't sound so good doing a song that is totally Marina, like Tsuki Iro no Syndicate.

    I love Anza as a singer, but think that Marina's Usagi was more like anime Usagi. Love them both :D

  • Considering that there have been several of the performers who've played the other Sailor Senshi who had auditioned numerous times before getting their parts, I can just imagine how rigorous the audition process must have been for Usagi. Still wonder when they will start up the musicals again. I kinda miss seeing new live action Sailor Moon musicals.

  • I agree. There seems to be such animosity towards Marina especially. I guess it's all a matter of opinion, but I think if someone with a proffessional theatre backround evaluated all of the Moons they'd all pass. They all had things that made them great. They wouldn't have been selected otherwise
