Tamil Tiger terrorist rammed a truck loaded with explosives into a Sri Lankan naval convoy on Monday, killing at least 100 people, including some civilians, the military said.
Here is a chronology of deadly attacks blamed on the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), fighting since 1983:

April 1987 - Tamil Tigers terrorist Car bomb explodes at Colombo central bus stand, killing 113 people and wounding scores.

April 1989 -Tamil Tigers terrorist Car bomb explodes in eastern Trincomalee, killing 51 people shopping for traditional new year.

March 1991:(Tamil Tigers terrorist) Defense Minister Ranjan Wijeratne is among 19 people killed when a car bomb is detonated in Colombo.

May 1991 - Former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi is killed in southern India by a suspected LTTE suicide bomber.

August 1992 - (Tamil Tigers terrorist)Sri Lankan army chief, Lieutenant-General Denzil Kobbekaduwa, is killed in a land mine blast in Kayts, northern Sri Lanka.

November 1992 -(Tamil Tigers terrorist) Navy Chief Clancey Fernando is killed in a suicide bombing in Colombo.

May 1993 - (Tamil Tigers terrorist)President Ranasinghe Premadasa and 23 others are killed by a suicide bomber in Colombo.

October 1994 -(Tamil Tigers terrorist) Presidential candidate Gamini Dissanayake and 51 others are killed in a bomb blast during an election rally in Colombo.

January 1996 -(Tamil Tigers terrorist) A truck filled with explosives rams into the Central Bank building in Colombo. The explosion kills up to 100 people and wounds some 1,400.

July 1996 - (Tamil Tigers terrorist)Two bomb blasts on a rush-hour commuter train kill 57 people and wound at least 257.

December 1999 -(Tamil Tigers terrorist) Sri Lankan President Chandrika Kumaratunga is wounded in an attempted assassination by a suicide bomber; at least 34 people are killed in two explosions.


June 2000 -(Tamil Tigers terrorist) Industrial Development Minister C.V. Gunaratne and 21 others are killed in a suicide bomb blast in Colombo.

July 2001 -(Tamil Tigers terrorist) An attack on the main air base and the only international airport in Sri Lanka destroys 13 aircraft and leaves at least 12 people dead.

August 2005 -(Tamil Tigers terrorist) Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar is shot dead at his home in Colombo.

June 2006 - (Tamil Tigers terrorist) A mine attack on a civilian bus in central Anuradapura district kills 64.

october 2006-(Tamil Tigers terrorist)At least 100 people have been killed in a Tamil Tiger suicide attack on a military bus convoy in northern Sri Lanka,
