The FBI had MLK wire tapped and monitored constantly form Sep 1963 until his death. Where ever MLK was, the FBI followed him with a secret company of agents. They are the chief suspects by default, especially since they sent him death threats and blackmailed him through this period.

Malcolm X was a very bad influence and even he knew that to himself towards the end of his life. We don't need to be forking over "days" to everyone, though Martin Luther King is probably just as worthy as George Washington (the controversy is that the government got rid of the Washington holiday as well as Lincoln's and made "president['s day").

Actually,I think somethings can be done.
