Arrival in Tripoli, Libya

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo arrived in Tripoli to join world leaders and dignitaries in celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Great Revolution led by Libyan leader Col. Muammar al-Gaddafi (Ar. Name Mu'ammar al-Qaddafi) and to attend the opening of a special 2-day summit meeting of the African Union (AU).

The Philippine Airlines chartered plane landed at eight oclock in the morning in Mitiga International Airport. She was welcomed by Philipjpine Ambassador to Libya Alejandrino Vicente and Libya's Minster of Social Welfare Dr. Mohammed Ibrahin Al-Shareef.

Accompanying the president here in Libya includes Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Alberto Romulo, Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) Secretary Marianito Roque, Press Secretary Cerge Remonde, National Security Adviser Norberto Gonzales and DFA Undersecretary for Special Concerns Rafael Seguis, the countrys peace panel chairman to the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

President Arroyo will meet members of the Filipino Community here in Libya later in the evening.

She is also expected to hold bilateral talks between Col. Gaddafi and leaders of Sri Lanka and Pakistan before going back to Manila on September 2, Wednesday.

When she went to Libya..there was an incident where the Libyan Leader gave gold necklaces to all the Presidents who visited..To the other presidents it looked like a normal necklace size but for her..it looked like a bling bling :)

You guys should add more information. Who is she meeting with? Who are the people in the line? Why is she there for? etc etc. Puro lang kayo junket and using tons of money and you're not doing your job (I am referring to the youtube moderator ng Malacanang). Mahiya naman kayo!
