The JOOS Orange solar charger from Solar Components with a rechargeable internal battery pack not only makes the most power of any personal solar charger in the world, but it's by far and away the most durable. After shooting it with a 22 rifle, it still produced power from the sun and charged an iPhone!! Check it out - we pumped 5 rounds with a 22 rifle into the JOOS Orange!!! It's the power source you can depend upon for your cell phone and other vital electronics in case of emergency or at times when you're out and about. Available late July 2010 at www.solarjoos.com.

  • Reserve at $99.95 until Jan 25, then $139.95. We're temporarily out of stock, but should have a shipment coming in by the end of the month.

    Thanks!!

  • The bullets didn't actually go through it!? We can totally use it as Kevlar!

  • A misleading test that doesn't prove anything. A .single 22lr round can kill a man, but also may not penetrate a piece of plywood. I'd bet that polymer bezels on many consumer gadgets would respond similarly.

  • Has anybody else noticed the negligence being practiced here with regards to firearm safety? The camera is IN FRONT of the muzzle of the rifle. This is a very stupid practice. Regardless of the fact that the camera is off to the side, and regardless of firearm caliber, you should never stand where you can see the exit of the barrel, EVER. Firearm etiquette fail.

    Cool product though ;)

  • When will the orange be available again?

  • how much for one of these devices?

  • @TehPixelator yeah... post-shots.... would it still be waterproof?

  • this is amazing! I will definitely be buying one!

I wonder if it would still work after being further tested by being submerged in water?
